Mr. Md. Khalid Mahmood Khan is a seasoned banking professional with over 31 years of extensive experience in the financial services industry, spanning corporate and wholesale banking, branch operations, credit risk management and foreign trade. He currently serves as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Southeast Bank PLC, providing strategic leadership to drive sustainable growth, strong governance and operational excellence.

He started his career in 1994 with Agrani Bank PLC., as Probationary Officer. Later he joined Mutual Trust Bank PLC where he held several senior leadership positions including Deputy Managing Director, Additional Managing Director and Chief Business Officer and played a pivotal role in shaping business strategy, strengthening asset quality, enhancing overall performance. His career also includes more than 13 years as Branch In-Charge of key branches in MTB PLC and leadership of major business divisions.

Mr. Khan possesses deep expertise in credit underwriting, risk management, general banking, foreign exchange operations and recovery management. He is widely recognized for his analytical acumen, decisive leadership and ability to build high-performing teams. Known for his strong communication and interpersonal skills, he maintains effective working relationships with regulators. He obtained his bachelor’s degree under University of Dhaka and also completed MBA.

Mr. Md. Khalid Mahmood Khan is married to Kalpona Akter and blessed with two children, a son and a daughter.
