The 3rd day of a five-day training course titled ‘Shariah Audit of Islamic Banking Operations’, jointly organized by the Central Shariah Board for Islamic Banks of Bangladesh (CSBIB) and Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM), was held on Monday, June 10, 2024, at the CSB Training Institute, Kakrail, Dhaka.

Mr. Mughees Shaukat, Senior Manager, Capacity Building Program, AAOIFI, was a special guest in the inaugural session. Mr. Syed Siddiq Ahmed, Manager, Standard Implementation and Regulatory Relations, AAOIFI, Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, inaugurated the session. Dr. Farid Ahmad Subhani, Professor of the Department of Business & Economics, at United International University, was the chief guest. Mr. Md. Abdullah Sharif, CIPA, CSAA, Secretary General, CSBIB, chaired the session. The inaugural session was moderated by Dr. Md. Mahabbat Hossain, CSAA, CIPA.

The resource persons who lectured in the training course included Dr. Md. Mahabbat Hossain, CSAA, CIPA, Associate Professor, BIBM & Academic Advisor of CSBIB, and Mr. Mezbah Uddin Ahmed, FCCA, CSAA, CIPA, Research Fellow, International Shari’ah Research Academy for Islamic Finance (ISRA) Research Management Centre, INCEIF University, Malaysia & Research Advisor of CSBIB.

In the closing session, Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdus Samad, CSAA, Member, Fiqh Committee, CSBIB & Member Secretary, Shariah Supervisory Committee, Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC & Global Islami Bank PLC, made special remarks.
