Ahmed is a seasoned banking professional who currently serves as the Managing Director and CEO of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC. With a vast experience in the banking industry, he has honed his expertise in various areas such as financial operations, risk management, capital market, money market, planning and forecasting. Mr. Ahmed&#8217;s deep understanding of the banking industry has been a result of his extensive experience in different positions, including as the Managing Director and CEO of National Credit and Commerce Bank, South Bangla Agricultural and Commerce Bank and Additional Managing Director &amp; CBO of Jamuna Bank PLC.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Ahmed has rendered his services at many diversified banks and financial institutions in various capacities with remarkable successes &amp; noteworthy achievements throughout his long and glorious phases of service. During his long banking career, he has served in NBFI, Foreign Bank, and Private Commercial Banks. He served in Jamuna Bank as Additional Managing Director &amp; Deputy Managing Director. He also served in The City Bank as Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP). Besides, he served in different capacities in The City Bank, State Bank of India, Prime Bank and Phoenix Leasing Company Limited.<\/p>\n<p>He has participated in a number of training programs, seminars, symposiums, and workshops at home and abroad. His extensive knowledge and invaluable experience in banking and economics have earned him positions on the Board of Directors of several esteemed companies. Mr. Ahmed served as Director in the Boards of Jamuna Bank Securities Limited, Jamuna Bank Merchant Bank Limited, NCC Bank Securities Limited, NCC Bank Capital Management Limited, Venture Investment Partners Bangladesh Limited, BDRL Rating Company Limited, and Energypack Power Venture Limited.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his impressive corporate leadership skills, Mr. Ahmed has also excelled as a university teacher. He has served as a faculty member at Asian University of Bangladesh, Islamic University of Chittagong, Northern University, and Darul Ihsan University. Mr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed earned his MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at the University of Dhaka and his B.Sc. Engineering in Electrical and Electronics from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET). Besides, he has also completed long course on Advance Credit Risk Management from AIT, Bangkok and also attended different workshop &amp; seminars from State Bank of India, Staff College Hydrabad, Delhi &amp; Mumbai, University of Cambridge, UK etc.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Ahmed is actively involved in socio-economic and welfare activities through various organizations, and he has gained a vast understanding of socio-cultural variations and their implications on business and economics through his global travels. He is a life member of the IBA Alumni Association, as well as a member of the Institution of Engineers Bangladesh and the Bangladesh Computer Society. Mr. Ahmed has traveled extensively for overseas trainings, workshops and seminars and has delivered lectures in the field of finance and banking. His extensive experience across banking, development finance, and corporate management has enabled him to contribute significantly to institutional transformation, business expansion, and long-term stakeholder value creation.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Hossain served as Additional Managing Director and Head of Operations of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, overseeing the Operations Wing, Development Wing, Information &amp; Communication Technology Wing, Alternative Banking Wing, Risk Management Wing, Financial Administration Division, and the Money Laundering &amp; Terrorist Financing Prevention Division.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout his distinguished career with the Bank, he has successfully held a number of key leadership positions, including Deputy Managing Director (Investment), Chief Risk Officer (CRO), Head of Investment Management Wing, Head of Dhaka Central Zone-the Bank\u2019s largest business zone, Head of Corporate Investment Division-II, and Head of SME Investment Division-II. In the same period, the Bank\u2019s income-expense ratio improved significantly, dropping from 58.1% to 43.7%. The Bank also made significant progress in asset quality, reducing its bad loan ratio from 5.3% in 2018 to 2.5% in 2025, while increasing the provision coverage ratio against classified loans from 72.7% to 127.0%.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond financial performance, Mashrur has driven strategic transformation and inclusion initiatives, repositioning City Bank from an urban-centric institution to a Bank for the masses. He spearheaded the launch of digital nano loans with Bkash, agent banking, SME and micro-finance services, and the City Alo women\u2019s banking platform. Committee, Central Shariah Board for Islamic Banks of Bangladesh(CSBIB)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: Justify;\">Professor Dr. Mohammad Gias Uddin Talukder was born in the traditional house of Bangaji in the Lalanagar village of Rangunia Upazila of Chittagong district. His father, Dr. Moslem Uddin Talukder, was both a government primary school teacher and a renowned homeopathic physician.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: Justify;\">He started his early education at Alam Shah Para Kamil Madrasa. In this madrasa, he studied from children\u2019s class to Kamil. At various levels of madrasa education, he had a brilliant signature of merit. In the Alim examination of 1974 under the Bangladesh Madrasa Board, he got 3rd place in the combined merit list, and in the Kamil (Tafsir) examination of 1989, he got 1st place in 1st class.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: Justify;\">Then in 1991, he was admitted to King Saud University in Riyadh to study for a higher diploma and teacher training in Arabic language and Islamic culture with a scholarship from the Saudi government. After studying in that course for 4 long years, he returned to the country and obtained a master\u2019s degree from the Arabic department of Chittagong University with first place in the first class. He later received his Ph.D. from the same university, studying the miraculous teachings of the Qur\u2019an.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: Justify;\">Professor Gias Talukder joined Rangunia Alam Shah Para Kamil Madrasa as a lecturer soon after the Kamil examination. But he did not stay in the post as he went to Saudi Arabia with a government scholarship to pursue higher education. He later returned to the country and joined the madrasa as the chief commentator.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: Justify;\">In 1995, he was appointed as the first lecturer in the Department of Quranic Science and Islamic Studies, the International Islamic University, Chittagong. He later became the director of the Institute of Modern Arabic Language at the university. For 11 long years, he held various posts in the university and was awarded various ranks. Anwar Hosain Molla is a highly recognized scholar in Islamic fiqh and jurisprudence. He is an advisor to numerous other Islamic financial institutions. He holds a Ph.D. in \u201cMicro-credit and Zakat in alleviation of poverty: a comparative analysis under department of Da\u2019wah and Islamic Studies\u201d from the Islamic University. He also studied Arabic language and Islamic culture at King Saud University, Riyadh, where he was awarded a Gold Medal for his outstanding academic record.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: Justify;\">Dr. Anwar is currently the principal of Uttar Badda Islamia Kamil Madrasa and an adjunct faculty member of Manarat International University. He teaches Hadith Arabic, Aqidah, Fiqh and Islamic Studies. He has authored numerous books and articles in his field.
